Made to Meazure – 3D printable furniture leg mount customizer

As my thesis work I created a 3D printable furniture leg mount using CadQuery Python library and an online tool for customizing the said 3D model. The Idea behind the work was to explore the new possibilities of creating 3D models with script-based tools. There are major benefits that can be achieved this way, the possibility of using version control tools, better communication of design intent, and easier customization and reusability of models, to name a few.

The online tool is horrible from usability view point it is slow and there are no loading indicators to show what’s going on, but the leg mounts created with the tool do work fine and I think the method of creating 3D models with script based tools shows great promise.
